Using Our Materials
Guidelines for Using Our Materials
Our materials are often rare and in some cases unique and irreplaceable. Please help us preserve these collections for future generations of researchers by handling our materials with care and following these simple rules.
Scans and Reproductions from Our Collections
Most of the materials in our collections can be digitally reproduced either through the use of our public book scanner or personal cameras. For a fee, researchers can request to have department staff provide scans. The link below provides additional information on which services are available for researchers to create reproductions from our collections.
Borrowing Our Materials
Our materials do not circulate and must remain in the Department when being used. However, depending on binding, rarity, and fragility, some of our books may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Read our Interlibrary Loan Policy for more information.
National History Day Resources
