Private Donors Can Make a Difference
Making a Contribution to the Special Collections and University Archives
Donating Rare and Unique Materials
There are many ways donors can contribute and support Special Collections and University Archives. Donors can donate personal papers, organizational records, and rare books that relate to the history of agriculture, science and technology, and the history of Iowa State University. Please view the Department's mission and collections policy for additional guidelines on the types of materials we may be interested in. As always, contact us if you have any questions.
Making a Financial Contribution
Donors can make a financial donation that assists the Department in processing its collections, adding to the Rare Book collection, or reproducing rare and unique materials. The following were funded by donors:
- The purchase of the 2 millionth volume for the Special Collections Department and the Library--a rare 2 volume set written by the early woman scientist, Maria Agnesi
- The archival processing of the following collections: Rath Packing Company Records, Karl Fox Papers, the American Statistical Association, the Beef Improvement Federation
- The development of a virtual exhibit for the "The Road I Grew Up On," by Helen Gunderson
