Workshop on Primary Sources

Thursday, March 30, 3:00-4:30

This hands-on workshop will demonstrate how you can incorporate primary source analysis and research into your classroom, whether you want to use historical documents available online or materials from Special Collections & University Archives at Iowa State University.

Reasons to use primary sources in the classroom:

  • Engages students by allowing them to examine first-person accounts of events.
  • Develops critical thinking skills by raising questions that could challenge students’ assumptions.
  • Builds knowledge.

Preregister through Learn@ISU.

For instructions on how to register for this workshop and to see other workshops being offered by the ISU Library, visit Library Workshops @ Parks Library.
